This picture is from an article called “The Rescuing Hug”. The article details the first week of life of a set of twins. Each were in their respective incubators and one was not expected to live. A hospital nurse fought against the hospital rules and placed the babies in one incubator. When they were placed together, the healthier of the two, threw an arm over her sister in an endearing embrace. The smaller baby’s heart stabilized and temperature rose to normal.
life is so beautiful.
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass….it’s about learning to dance in the rain.
Sometimes people leave you half way through the wood. Do not let it grieve you. No one leaves for good. You are not alone. No one is alone….
I’m going to stand outside, so if anyone asks I am outstanding.
Here’s to the girls who don’t wake up with perfect hair. Who don’t mind eating a Big Mac instead of a salad. Who don’t wear 50 pounds of makeup. Who’d rather spend the day in sweatpants than skinny jeans. Who love the comfort of t-shirts. Who don’t get all the guys. Who aren’t “popular” but feel like it when they’re with their friends. Who stick to sneakers instead of heels. Who aren’t afraid to break a nail. Who don’t always get their way. Who don’t get everything they want. Who don’t need a guy to tell them that they are beautiful. Here’s to all the girls who are just like me.
If sex between 3 people is a threesome and between 2 people is a twosome, now I understand why people call you handsome.
Oh Tifftopia, my heart is aching. Hope you know how much love I have for you. You’ve been such a wonderful support system for me. I wish I knew how to be one for you….
Never let your past experiences harm your future. Your past can’t be altered and your future doesn’t deserve the punishment.
What does a Paramedic, EMT or Firefighter make?
“I make holding your hand seem like the biggest thing in the world when I’m cutting you out of a car. I can make 5 minutes seem like a life time when I go into a burning house to save your family. I can make those annoying sirens seem like angels when you need them. I can make your children breathe when they stop. I can help you survive a heart attack. I can make myself get out of bed at 3am to risk my life to save people I’ve never met. Today I might make the ultimate sacrifice to save your life. I make a difference.”
